BYU’s Corrigan and TCU’s Tucker Earn First Big 12 OTF Weekly Honors of 2025 Season

BYU’s James Corrigan (men’s) and TCU’s London Tucker (women’s) have been named the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week to kick off the 2025 season.

Competing at Arizona’s Willie Williams Classic, Corrigan secured a victory in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:43.57. The 2024 Paris Olympian’s performance not only broke a 21-year-old stadium record but also marked the fastest time in the NCAA this season, ranking No. 2 globally for the year. This is Corrigan’s first Big 12 outdoor track and field accolade.

Tucker participated in the women’s 100 meters, 4×100 meter relay, and long jump at the TCU Alumni Invitational hosted by the Horned Frogs. She claimed gold in the 100-meter with a time of 11.19 seconds and helped her relay team win the 4×100-meter relay in 43.73 seconds, both of which rank second on the 2025 NCAA outdoor performance list. The freshman also finished third in the long jump with a leap of 6.04 meters.
