ESPN Ranks Five Kentucky Players Among Top 100 NBA Draft Prospects

As the college basketball season nears its conclusion, discussions around NBA Draft projections are heating up. On Tuesday, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony released an updated list of the top 100 prospects for the 2025 NBA Draft, featuring five Kentucky Wildcats. Although none ranked in the top 50, a few players saw their stock rise in the latest update. Leading Kentucky’s prospects was sharpshooter Koby Brea, who secured the No. 53 spot. The 6-foot-6 wing has been one of the team’s most efficient offensive weapons, excelling in three-point shooting and perimeter defense. Brea’s stock has been on the rise, climbing six spots from the previous ranking, and he was also projected as the 58th overall pick in ESPN’s latest mock draft.

Amari William, Kentucky’s dominant presence in the paint, ranked at No. 78, improving by three spots. The 7-foot center has been a crucial defensive asset, excelling in rebounding and shot-blocking. His combination of size, strength, and defensive skills makes him a promising option for teams seeking a rim protector. Meanwhile, Otega Oweh, a strong and athletic guard, jumped six spots to No. 86. His aggressive drives to the basket and defensive contributions have impressed scouts, though he must continue refining his outside shooting to solidify his draft position.

Conversely, Jaxson Robinson dropped to No. 91, slipping 13 spots from the last ranking. While he remains a reliable perimeter shooter and experienced wing, inconsistent performances have caused a slight decline in his draft standing. Andrew Carr rounded out Kentucky’s representation, landing at No. 93. The versatile forward dropped two spots but remains a noteworthy prospect due to his ability to stretch the floor and provide size in the frontcourt.

Notably missing from the rankings was starting point guard Lamont Butler, who has been dealing with a lingering shoulder injury for over three months. Despite being a key player for Kentucky, NBA scouts may be waiting to evaluate his performance when fully healthy before making any projections. The 2025 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 25-26 in Brooklyn, NY, with 59 total picks across two rounds. As the NCAA Tournament continues, Kentucky’s draft prospects will have a chance to further boost their stock and make their case to NBA teams in the upcoming weeks.
