Duke’s Perfect Response to Cooper Flagg’s Historic Game

Cooper Flagg, a freshman for the Duke Blue Devils and projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, continues to prove why he’s the top player in the NCAA Tournament right now.

In a thrilling 100-93 victory over the Arizona Wildcats on Thursday, Flagg put up 30 points, six rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, and one steal. He shot 9-of-19 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from three-point range, leading Duke to the Elite Eight.

Flagg’s performance marked the first time in Duke men’s basketball history that a player scored at least 30 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded five assists in an NCAA Tournament game, according to ACC Network.

He also became the only freshman in NCAA history to record 25 points, five assists, and three blocks in a single Tournament game.

After his remarkable showing, Duke took to social media to celebrate his achievement with the perfect reaction. Using alliteration to hype Flagg’s performance, the team posted, “COOP COOOOOOOOKED,” accompanied by three dancing man emojis and a mirror ball emoji. They also listed his game statistics.

It was an unforgettable performance by Cooper Flagg, one that will surely elevate his confidence and the team’s morale as they advance to the Elite Eight.

Next, the Blue Devils will face the Alabama Crimson Tide. Expectations are high that Flagg will continue his strong play as Duke pursues a national title.
