Aaron Glenn Receives Strong Support from Dan Campbell in New Jets Job
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell is never shy about showing loyalty to those he trusts—and that includes new New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn. The pair worked side-by-side for the last three seasons in Detroit, where Glenn led the defense. Now, with Glenn aiming to revive a long-suffering Jets team, Campbell made it clear: if anyone can succeed, it’s A.G.
“As long as the support is there, A.G. will fix it,” Campbell said to reporters. “No doubt in my mind. He’s an incredible leader and an even better man.”
That’s serious praise from one of the league’s most respected voices. Campbell pointed out Glenn’s unique ability to bond with both players and coaches as his greatest strength.
“He’s the kind of guy people want to play for and support to help him win,” Campbell continued. “He’s already building a solid coaching staff and will bring in the right players, too.”
The Jets haven’t posted a winning record since 2015 and haven’t reached the postseason since 2010. Saying the franchise has struggled doesn’t quite capture it. With nine straight losing seasons, fans are hoping Glenn can spark real change.
Still, Campbell’s faith in Glenn was unwavering: “I’ll say this—if he can’t do it, nobody can. That’s how I see it.”
Glenn’s stint in Detroit had its bumps, but he shaped a young defense into a tough, high-energy group. That attitude is just what the Jets are missing. If Glenn brings that same edge to New York, he could be the one to end the drought and restore pride to Gang Green.
