Jameson Williams and His Mother Make a Splash at Detroit Pistons Game

The Detroit Lions face a number of choices heading into the 2025 season, including the NFL draft on April 24th in Green Bay, Wisconsin. There, general manager Brad Holmes has a chance to strengthen what fans hope will become a Super Bowl-caliber roster.

The Lions already have several up-and-coming talents like wide receiver Jameson Williams, who reached impressive new heights last season in Detroit. On Saturday, Williams drew attention at Little Caesars Arena alongside his mother Tianna, showing his passion for the city’s sports culture.

His appearance quickly spread on social media, with fans reacting to his happy outing with his mom during the Pistons’ defeat by the Memphis Grizzlies.

“Love it FAMILY,” one user posted on X, adding a ‘100’ emoji and flex emoji. “Waymo!!!” another fan chimed in. Jameson Williams is the son of James and Tianna Williams, both of whom were track athletes at Sumner High School in St. Louis.

Selected 12th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams reached a career-best in receiving yards last season. His background in track shows in his explosive speed, often outrunning defenders with ease on his way to the end zone.

Now a firm part of the Detroit community, fans are looking forward to more as Williams continues to rise as one of Jared Goff’s main receiving threats in the Lions’ Honolulu Blue and Silver.
