ESPN forecasts Koby Brea as a second-round pick in its updated NBA mock draft.

ESPN unveiled its updated 2025 NBA mock draft on Tuesday, projecting Kentucky sharpshooter Koby Brea to be selected 54th overall by the Indiana Pacers.

Brea, who spent his first four years at Dayton, posted averages of 11.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists across 36 games (16 starts) with Kentucky. He shot an impressive 47% from the field, 43.5% from beyond the arc, and 91.4% from the free-throw line.

The veteran guard reached double figures in scoring 22 times and had seven games with 20 points or more. Highlights included a 23-point performance on 7-of-9 shooting from deep in a 106-100 win over No. 6 Florida — who went on to win the national title — during Kentucky’s SEC opener on Jan. 4. He also dropped 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting against Illinois in the NCAA Tournament’s second round.

Brea hit at least one 3-pointer in 35 of 36 games, knocked down multiple threes in 27 contests, and drained three or more in 16 games. His 93 made threes tie him for seventh on Kentucky’s single-season list, the highest mark since Malik Monk’s 104 in the 2016-17 season.

The Wildcats broke the program’s single-season record for made 3-pointers with 341 while shooting 37.5% from long range. For the first time in school history, six players averaged double-digit points. The team scored 3,040 total points — the seventh-highest mark ever at Kentucky — and dished out 607 assists, ninth-most in school history.

Nationally, Kentucky ranked seventh in scoring, averaging 84.4 points per game.

“I don’t know who’s in charge of the jerseys and all that, but they’ll have to go through some trouble to get mine,” Brea joked after Kentucky’s Sweet 16 loss to Tennessee in Indianapolis.

“Every time I walk into the locker room and put this jersey on, it still feels surreal,” he added. “Considering everything I’ve overcome and where I come from, it’s really special. At first, we were all strangers, but now we’re like family. The Big Blue Nation has made this dream come true — they welcomed me with open arms, and it’s been more than I ever imagined.”

The 2025 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 25-26 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The first round will air June 25 on ABC, ESPN, and the ESPN App. Round two continues June 26, broadcasting on ESPN and the ESPN App.

Since 2010, Kentucky leads all schools with the most No. 1 picks (3), top-10 picks (17), lottery selections (25), first-rounders (37), and total draftees (49). Since the NBA shortened the draft to two rounds in 1989, the Wildcats have had a record 65 total players selected — 48 in the first round.

The program has had a player drafted in 17 straight years — the longest active streak — and a first-round pick in 15 consecutive drafts. Kentucky has also produced multiple draft selections in 15 straight drafts.

In the 2024 NBA Draft, Kentucky guards Reed Sheppard (No. 3 to Houston) and Rob Dillingham (No. 8 to Minnesota via San Antonio) were both top-10 selection.
