The former Michigan State junior guard and co-captain announced his transfer commitment to NC State on Sunday via social media. He entered the portal on April 1, two days after the Spartans lost to Auburn in the Elite Eight.
Holloman averaged a career-high 9.1 points and 3.7 assists while making 16 starts in 37 games this season.
A former two-sport standout from Minneapolis who had Division I football offers, including from Michigan State, Holloman averaged 3.5 points over his first two years with the program. He began this season as a reserve, made 16 straight starts then returned to being a standout sixth man.
Holloman turned in memorable moments this season while helping Michigan State to a Big Ten regular-season title. He buried a shot from beyond half court at the buzzer for a stunning win at Maryland and was key in a pair of victories against the Wolverines.

Before the Spartans raised a Big Ten championship banner in the finale at the Breslin Center, Holloman shoved Michigan’s L.J. Cason and Phat Phat Brooks because he felt they were disrespecting the program’s senior day tradition of kissing the midcourt logo. Coach Tom Izzo wasn’t thrilled but understood why Holloman did it and had him kiss the S during the on-court celebration after the game.
Holloman’s Michigan State career came to an end with a brutal shooting performance as he went 0-for-10 from the floor in the loss against Auburn in Atlanta.
