Linebacker Harrison Taggart from BYU Enters Transfer Portal

BYU Linebacker Harrison Taggart Joins Transfer Portal

Just a day after WR/KR Keelan Marion entered the transfer portal, BYU saw another player follow suit on Saturday—LB Harrison Taggart.

Taggart, a 4-star recruit out of high school, spent the last two seasons at BYU following one year at Oregon. Last season, he started 12 games, recording 69 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 1 forced fumble, and 1 sack. His standout performance came against Kansas State, where he registered 10 tackles and intercepted a pass for a 15-yard return. Taggart is set to be a redshirt junior this coming season.

While Taggart was a key player in BYU’s linebacker rotation, the team is fortunate that linebacker is one of the deepest positions on the roster. BYU returns starters Isaiah Glasker and Jack Kelly, and also brings back Choe Bryant-Strother, Siale Esera, and Ace Kaufusi, along with promising younger players like Tyler Payne, Miles Hall, Naki Tuakoi, and others.

The spring transfer window for college football opened on April 16 and will close on April 25.
