The return of quarterback Matthew Stafford for the 2025 season significantly improves the Los Angeles Rams’ outlook, particularly in terms of their strength of schedule. With Stafford leading the offense, the Rams are expected to fare well against a moderately challenging slate of opponents. According to Pro Football and Sports Network (PFSN), the Rams will face the 16th toughest schedule this season, which includes matchups against teams like the Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, and Philadelphia Eagles.

While the final schedule, complete with dates and times, will be revealed on May 14, the teams Los Angeles will compete against are determined based on their standings at the end of the previous season. PFSN believes that despite tough opponents like the Lions and Ravens, the Rams are well-positioned to succeed, especially with Stafford at the helm.

In particular, PFSN highlighted the Rams’ ability to perform in tight games, noting that Los Angeles was one of only three teams last season not to lose a game by three points or fewer. This knack for close victories could prove critical in 2025, as the Rams are expected to face more nail-biting contests than before.

Their regular division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, will meet them twice, while the Rams will also face the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Ravens, and Tennessee Titans on the road. The most challenging game on their schedule is likely their away match against the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

At home, aside from divisional matchups, Los Angeles will host the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Indianapolis Colts. Details for the Rams’ two preseason games have yet to be announced.
