Home of Kelly Stafford’s Podcast Co-Host Searched Amid Sexual Misconduct Investigation
The Michigan residence of Hank Winchester, cohost of Kelly Stafford’s “The Morning After” podcast, was searched as part of a sexual misconduct probe.
Fox 2 Detroit reported that on June 13, authorities executed a search warrant at Winchester’s house following allegations that he made sexual advances during a massage session.
Besides cohosting “The Morning After,” Winchester is a veteran reporter at WDIV Local 4 in Detroit, and Fox 2 noted he’s currently enrolled in massage therapy training.
“Our team at Local 4 is aware of an external investigation involving Hank Winchester,” the station stated on Saturday, June 18. “At this point, he’s been placed on administrative leave. We will not provide more comments while the inquiry is underway.”
Winchester’s attorney, Todd Flood, issued a denial of the allegations in a statement shared with Fox 2.
“Hank has spent his career uncovering truth and advocating for the public,” the lawyer stated. “His high-profile status can sometimes lead to baseless claims. This case will end where it started — going nowhere.”
Winchester did not appear on the latest episode of “The Morning After,” which aired Thursday, June 19.
“Welcome back everyone to ‘The Morning After,’” said Stafford, 36, at the beginning of the show. “I’m going solo today with a summer-inspired episode. I also really needed to speak my mind a bit.”
Kelly, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, did not bring up or comment on the accusations against Winchester.
The pair became friends when Matthew Stafford, now 37, was quarterback for the Detroit Lions from 2009 through 2020. Kelly and Hank started “The Morning After” in 2021.
In January, Kelly marked Winchester’s birthday with a cheerful tribute to her cohost and friend.
“If you had told me 15 years ago I’d be traveling the country with this guy laughing nonstop and acting ridiculous… I’d believe it,” she wrote on Instagram. “My best friend, so smart, kind, a Madonna superfan, pescatarian, and forever confused by MARTA or tech. Love you, happy birthday!”
Winchester replied, “This friendship is such a blessing — a gift from God. Truly. Love you KB.”
