Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his wife Christen Harper are preparing to welcome a daughter.

Jared Goff will experience changes on the field this season as a new offensive coordinator takes over play-calling duties after the exit of former Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson. Off the field, the veteran quarterback is also preparing for a big life transition—he and his wife, Christen Harper Goff, are expecting their first child.

Harper Goff posted joyful photos of the couple on social media as they get ready to welcome a baby girl. “Just waiting for our girl,” she captioned her post on Instagram. This marks their first child together, and fans were quick to share in the excitement.

The pair started dating in 2019 and got engaged in June 2022. They tied the knot on June 22, 2024, during a private wedding in California. Although Harper Goff’s recent post highlighted her pregnancy journey, the couple had already made their announcement public earlier this year—revealing the news at the 2025 NFL Honors in February.

Harper’s Instagram update sparked a flood of support. Fans and followers sent warm wishes, including sunday__gathering who wrote, “These photos are incredible!!! So beautiful.” Another, michelle_lawrence29, added, “You guys will be the best parents, can’t wait to meet baby girl.” And 313gridiron chimed in, “Y’all are going to make such a beautiful family!!”

Harper Goff is well-acquainted with the camera, as she works as both a model and actress. She gained recognition after winning SI’s Swim Search in 2021 and has posed for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition multiple times.

In fact, she was in the middle of a swimsuit shoot when Goff celebrated his first win with the Lions in 2021. She later posted her thrilled reaction from the shoot location, sharing the moment with fans online.

Since their engagement before the 2022 NFL season, Detroit has seen significant improvement. The Lions went from a 3-13-1 record to 9-8 that year, then jumped to 12-5 in 2023. After marrying in 2024, the Lions had their best season ever, finishing 15-2.
