Jared Goff Representing Detroit in Season 2 of Netflix’s ‘Quarterback’

The hit Netflix series “Quarterback” is back for a second season, offering a deep dive into the lives of three NFL quarterbacks during the 2024-25 season, each considered elite at their position.

Detroit Lions signal-caller Jared Goff is one of the featured stars on the world’s biggest streaming platform. Like its first season, the show trails three quarterbacks at varying stages of their professional journeys.

The docuseries offers an uncensored glimpse into both the intensity of game days and the everyday realities of NFL life — complete with mic’d-up moments, candid home footage, rehab, personal time, and the rhythms of each week.

“You have to be that dependable leader,” Goff says in the show’s preview. “Some people from my old team may have thought I was finished, but I viewed this new chapter as something meaningful.”

He continued, “This is what it feels like when people genuinely believe in you.”

The show captures evolving storylines such as setbacks, expectations, triumphs, defeats, and the leadership burden carried by QBs. Lions fans especially won’t want to skip this one — it’s an inside look at football as it really is.

With Goff at the helm, Detroit is chasing its first Lombardi Trophy after falling short against the 49ers in the 2023 NFC Championship showdown.

Channeling the determination of legends like Tom Brady and Joe Montana, Goff, wearing jersey No. 16, is primed to command the huddle under immense pressure.

“In 2024, this 30-year-old led the NFC in passer rating, hitting 72.4% of his throws for a team in title contention. Goff was especially lethal on third downs, with a 128.9 passer rating — and since 2022, he’s posted an elite 102.7 mark,” wrote Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report.
