Kelly Stafford Talks Family’s Health Struggles After Her Kids Were Hospitalized
Kelly Stafford is opening up about a rough experience.
The wife of L.A. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford shared that a recent self-care attempt quickly turned into agony.
“I need to share this with you,” she said on the June 26 episode of her The Morning After podcast. “This is wild, but three weeks ago, I tried giving myself a bikini wax.”
The mother of four—who shares twins Sawyer and Chandler, 8, plus Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 5, with Matthew—admitted she underestimated how tough it would be.
“I’ve had it professionally done before,” she said. “That was pre-kids, when I had time. It’s awesome. Nothing beats a good wax. The issue is, I thought I could do it solo.”
But once she began, Kelly, 36, realized it was a disaster in the making.
“It was honestly awful,” she said. “I’ve never been in that much pain, and seriously, you can’t just remove it—you have to rip it off.”
She emphasized she was “completely sober” and joked that maybe she “should’ve taken an edible” to dull the discomfort.
“It was brutal,” she said. “Worst decision I’ve made in ages.”
Why did she try it? She recalled telling Matthew, “I’m saving us money!”
“An Amazon wax kit costs $20,” reasoned Kelly, who wed the NFL QB in 2015. “Way cheaper than going somewhere and dropping $50 on a wax.”
Earlier in June, Kelly made another admission—this time about how weed gummies help her mom life.
“Gummies are amazing,” she said on her June 16 podcast episode. “Sometimes I swear they make me a better mom. They mellow me out. Like wine.”
Though she doesn’t use them “every night,” Kelly said the effect has really improved her parenting.
“As long as the kids are happy, fed, and feel loved,” she said, “what does it matter how we get there? Just get them there.”

The ex-Eagles star didn’t back down.

“Now that I think about it,” Kim said, “I might actually eat it if it made me younger.”
How much could she handle? “Maybe just a bite,” she said. “A whole bowl? Probably not.”
