Kelly Stafford is getting candid about a recent self-care attempt that ended in unexpected pain.

“I’ve got to share something with you all,” Kelly said. “It’s wild, but about three weeks ago, I tried giving myself a bikini wax.”

The 36-year-old mother of four—who raises 8-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler, along with Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 5—admitted she didn’t realize how difficult at-home waxing could be.

“I used to get waxed before,” she explained. “That was before having kids, when I had the time. It felt amazing. There’s really nothing better than a freshly waxed vajayjay. The only issue? I thought I could manage it solo.”

But it didn’t take long for her to find out she couldn’t.

“Honestly, it was awful,” Kelly admitted. “I’ve never felt pain like that. And the worst part is—you can’t just remove it easily. You have to rip it off.”

She joked that being slightly high might have helped, but overall described the ordeal as completely terrible.
“I probably should’ve taken an edible,” she laughed. “It was brutal. Hands down one of the worst decisions I’ve made in ages.”

As for what led her to try it herself, Kelly said it mostly came down to budget and time.

“I was just trying to save us money!” she laughed, recalling what she told Matthew. “An Amazon wax kit costs $20. Way cheaper than going to a salon and spending $50.”
