Just days after Kelly Stafford revealed that two of her and Matthew Stafford’s four daughters had been hospitalized, the entire family showed up in full force to support the Rams quarterback during the Jan. 13 NFL Wild Card showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.
Because of wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles County, the game was relocated from SoFi Stadium in L.A. to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
With the medical emergency seemingly resolved, Kelly and her daughters—7-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4—cheered on Matthew from the stands.
On Jan. 13, Kelly posted an Instagram Story featuring Hunter wearing an oxygen mask with the caption, “We made it on the bus,” while the others chanted, “Let’s go Rams” and “Let’s go Daddy.”
A video shared by a fan on X, formerly TikTok, captured Kelly and the kids making their way to their seats in the stadium before kickoff.
Kelly—who wed the NFL star in 2015—first opened up about the hospital visit on Jan. 11, sharing a picture of two daughters in beds, captioned, “Last night was long. Back in beds and sleeping, everyone except Hunter. Feels like she drank a Celsius.”
Still, she included a heartwarming shot of the girls walking with Matthew before the hospital scare, writing, “Before that tho they were all smiles getting to go with daddy on his work trip.”
Though the couple didn’t disclose the cause of the hospitalization, Kelly did share a positive update the next day with a photo of the family dining at Waffle House in Arizona.
Over a snapshot of the girls at breakfast, she wrote, “Found our happy place in AZ.” Though she admitted they were still sick, she added, “we are happy.”
The family faced another obstacle after being forced to evacuate their L.A. home due to the wildfires, further adding to the emotional week.
Despite the challenges, Kelly remained optimistic, saying her daughters “were all smiles getting to go with daddy on his work trip.”
Off the field, Matthew Stafford may be an elite NFL quarterback, but at home, he’s simply Dad.
During the Rams’ bye week, Matthew and Kelly took their daughters on a festive fall outing near their Los Angeles home.
“33 and grateful for the people that fill this home,” Kelly wrote in a birthday post. “Thankful for these girls’ contagious smiles and for a husband who never fails to make me laugh.”
“A pier breakfast, turned beach day, turned watching pro female surfing competition…” she captioned another photo. “Pretty epic summer day with great ‘aloha vibes.’”
After playing at SoFi Stadium, Matthew was reunited with three of his daughters in a private suite to celebrate the game.
After an exciting game day, it’s no surprise the girls love nothing more than cuddling with Dad at home.
Whether they’re at the stadium or headed to school, Matthew’s daughters proudly sport Rams team colors to support their father.
