New recruiting updates not shaking Georgia’s tight end pledge

Latest recruiting news doesn’t shake Georgia 4-star TE commit

One of the most promising members of Georgia football’s 2026 recruiting class is four-star tight end Lincoln Keyes. He has been pledged to the Bulldogs for quite a while now—Keyes was actually the first player to commit to Georgia’s 2026 class when he made his decision in November.

This demonstrates just how badly he wants to play for Georgia. However, new developments at the tight end position could potentially make him reconsider. Georgia recently added another four-star tight end, Brayden Fogle, to its 2026 class on July 4, and the Bulldogs are also leading in the race to land five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro.

Given this, it might seem logical that Keyes would be nervous about the depth chart. But according to a recent report by Rivals’ Jed May, Keyes has no plans to waver from his commitment.

Lincoln Keyes remains solidly committed to Georgia

Despite Georgia securing a commitment from a higher-ranked tight end and closing in on another elite prospect, Keyes remains fully locked in with the Bulldogs. In fact, he’s actively assisting in trying to recruit other top talent to join him in Athens.

Along with his recruiting efforts, Keyes is also using the offseason to elevate his personal game. According to May, Keyes has been working with a trainer this summer to enhance his blocking—an area many tight ends often struggle with early in their college careers.

These updates are great news for Georgia fans, but perhaps the most reassuring takeaway is that Kirby Smart won’t have to stress over Keyes flipping. Once he signs his letter of intent in December, Keyes will officially become a Bulldog ready to make an immediate impact upon arriving in Athens.
