Lions Quarterback Jared Goff Celebrates Birth of First Child with he Christien Harper Wife Before Camp

There’s a brand-new member in the Goff household.

On Tuesday afternoon, Detroit Lions signal-caller Jared Goff and his wife, Christen, announced the birth of their daughter, Romy Isabelle Goff.

This is the first child for both parents.

The duo broke the news via a joint Instagram post, which featured a photo slideshow and Coldplay’s “Green Eyes” playing in the background.

In February, during the NFL Honors event where Goff was an MVP finalist, the couple revealed the pregnancy while on the red carpet.

The early parts of the pregnancy are shown in Season 2 of Netflix’s Quarterback, which features Goff. The finale seems to follow Detroit’s loss to Washington in the 2024 Divisional Round.

As Goff enters fatherhood, he’s also gearing up for his fifth campaign as Detroit’s starting quarterback with training camp fast approaching.

The Lions will begin their preseason schedule on July 31 against the Chargers in the NFL Hall of Fame Game held at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

Goff is coming off what may be the strongest season of his career. He guided Detroit to a 15–2 record, threw for 4,629 yards, completed 72.9% of his throws, and set a new personal best with 37 touchdown passes.
