NFL quarterback Jared Goff and his wife, Christen Harper, are overjoyed to welcome their first child, a baby girl named Romy Isabelle Goff.

The couple shared their heartwarming news on Tuesday, July 15, posting a touching black-and-white photo slideshow on Instagram.

In the emotional post, Jared, 30, and Christen, 32, introduced Romy to the world, confirming her name in the caption with the sweet message: “Romy Isabelle Goff,” followed by a heart and envelope emoji.

The opening photo in the carousel showed baby Romy peacefully sleeping, wrapped snugly in a blanket, and wearing a darling bow hat. Her tiny hand gripped what seemed to be Christen’s finger, offering a tender look at the Goffs’ new bundle of joy.

One intimate snapshot captured Jared cradling his newborn, his eyes filled with love as he looked down at her. Another showed the new parents relaxing in bed, with Romy resting on Christen’s lap while Jared leaned in lovingly.

Soon after posting, Christen added to her Instagram Story to express the depth of her joy. “Heart is bursting into a million pieces!!!!” she gushed. The post was set to Coldplay’s “Green Eyes,” possibly hinting Romy inherited a meaningful trait.

Although Romy’s exact birth date wasn’t shared, the sweet photos and musical cue brought warmth and personality to the announcement.

Friends and fellow NFL wives quickly flooded the comments with congratulatory messages. Olivia Culpo, who recently welcomed a child with Christian McCaffrey, wrote: “Congratulations!!!”

The pair had originally announced their pregnancy while attending the NFL Honors red carpet back in February and shared their excitement about the journey ahead.

“I’m looking forward to becoming a dad,” Jared said at the time, clearly thrilled.

Christen, a Sports Illustrated model, added, “We’re just excited to soak up every moment and enjoy this together.”

She also confirmed they were expecting a daughter and hinted that her due date was set for summer — right in time for Romy’s seasonal debut.

Jared had long dreamed of fatherhood. “I’ve always wanted to be a dad,” he told People earlier this year. “Now it’s real, and I’m ready. I know it’ll bring a new meaning to life.”

The Lions star also gushed about Christen, saying he was confident she’d be “an amazing mom.”

“I can’t wait to see her as a mom,” he said, full of affection. Christen replied, “I know he’s going to be incredible, and it’s special to do this as a team.”

Their relationship began in 2019 after they matched on the exclusive dating app Raya. At first, they kept things quiet, but the connection grew quickly. Jared proposed in June 2022 during a trip with friends, marking a major milestone.

Two years later, on June 22, 2024, they married in a picturesque ceremony in Ojai, California. With close loved ones in attendance, their elegant and emotional wedding marked the start of their newest adventure together.
