Tate Ratledge will be present when the Lions kick off full training camp this weekend. NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that Detroit has reached a contract agreement with their rookie offensive lineman.
Like other teams across the NFL, Detroit’s second-round pick was their only remaining unsigned draftee. The Lions’ rookie class reported for camp yesterday.
Ratledge was selected 57th overall in this year’s draft after a standout college run at Georgia. He became a starter in 2022 and contributed to the Bulldogs’ national titles in 2023 and 2024. He earned both All-SEC and All-American honors in each of his final two seasons.
At Georgia, Ratledge played exclusively at right guard, and he may stay at one of the guard spots this season. He’ll also compete to fill the void left by retired center Frank Ragnow. While he didn’t play center in college games, he was Georgia’s backup there in practice. Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press noted Ratledge was seen snapping in spring drills.
Now that Ratledge is signed, Detroit has completed deals with all its draft picks:
