Jared Goff, 30, and his wife Christen Harper, 32, joyfully shared the news of their baby girl’s arrival on Tuesday, July 15, with a touching set of photos posted to Instagram.

.The first image in the post captured a close-up of their newborn lying in bed, grasping what appears to be Christen’s index finger while wrapped in a blanket and wearing a small hat with a bow.

In another picture, the Detroit Lions quarterback is seen cradling his daughter while lovingly gazing at her. More black-and-white photos feature the new parents in bed, with Romy on her mother’s lap and Jared leaning in beside them.

Shortly after sharing the post, Christen added to her Instagram Story, expressing her overwhelming joy with, “Heart is bursting into a million pieces!!!! ❤️.”

Although she didn’t share specifics like the baby’s exact birthdate, Christen hinted at her daughter’s traits by choosing “Green Eyes” by Coldplay for her Story’s background music.

The couple received warm wishes in the comment section from NFL WAGs who celebrated the happy milestone with heartfelt messages and congratulations.

“Congratulations!!!” wrote Olivia Culpo, who recently became a mom herself with 49ers quarterback Christian McCaffrey.

“My heart 🥹🫶🏼 I love you guys and baby romy 🎀,” shared Camille Kostek, partner of NFL legend and four-time Super Bowl winner Rob Gronkowski.

Anna Kupp, wife of Seattle Seahawks receiver Cooper Kupp, added, “The most precious gift. So happy for you both! 🤍.”

Back in February, Jared and Christen revealed exclusively to PEOPLE at the NFL Honors that they were expecting their first child, just before Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans.

“I’m looking forward to becoming a dad,” Jared told PEOPLE at the time, visibly excited for the journey into parenthood.

Harper also said they were eager to savor every moment, adding, “We’re just excited to enjoy this special time together and just soak up every second.”

The Sports Illustrated model previously shared with PEOPLE that they were expecting a girl and that her due date was set for the beginning of summer.

Goff had expressed his long-standing desire to be a father, saying now that it’s finally happening, he’s thrilled. “I know it’ll add a new perspective to life, and it’ll be great.”

He also called Harper the “best mom,” telling PEOPLE, “I can’t wait to watch her be a mom,” clearly excited for their new adventure.

Harper returned the compliment, saying, “I know he’s going to be the best, and it’s just gonna be exciting to do this together as a team.”

The couple’s love story began in 2019 after they connected through the exclusive dating platform Raya. Goff proposed in June 2022 during a trip with friends, and they happily announced their engagement.

Jared and Christen were officially married in Ojai, California, on June 22, 2024.
