Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Giovanni Leoni’s move to Liverpool is now entering the final stage as he heads towards Merseyside.

Sharing the news on his official X profile, Romano stressed that Leoni’s transfer to Liverpool is now “100% sealed” after granting the deal his famous “here we go” earlier yesterday.

The gifted young Italian centre-back is travelling for medical examinations after receiving clearance to complete his switch to Anfield.

Romano stated: “Giovanni Leoni will fly to Merseyside on Thursday, in the coming hours as agreement with Liverpool is complete! All paperwork is finalized and LFC have officially given Leoni the green light to travel for his medicals. Here we go, 100% sealed!”

Liverpool supporters will be thrilled that another significant summer signing is virtually completed following a productive transfer window for the club.

Leoni appears to be a remarkable talent for the future, who might also be prepared to contribute to the first team immediately.
