Liverpool locked in fierce two-way battle to land £76m “world-class” superstar as Isak chase heats up.

Liverpool are fighting one of their fiercest rivals to land a “world-class” signing alongside Alexander Isak, according to a fresh transfer update.

The ongoing Isak saga continues, with the Swedish striker releasing a major statement on Tuesday night, once more making clear that he wants to leave Newcastle United.

Now, per journalist Jorge Nicola [via Sport Witness], Liverpool are tracking another top talent with Isak, as the Reds and Manchester City battle for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo.

The £76m-rated attacker could depart Madrid this summer, with his future uncertain for months, and the Premier League holders reportedly view him as a major option to replace Luis Diaz.

If Liverpool manage to secure Isak, it seems unlikely they could afford Rodrygo too, meaning it may come down to one or the other, even if their attacking roles differ.

Should the Madrid star end up at Anfield, however, it is easy to imagine him thriving, with 119 goal contributions across 270 matches for his present side.
