The Selhurst Park outfit are reportedly monitoring the 30-year-old’s future in west London, as Sterling is anticipated to leave Chelsea before the market closes.
Although the Blues favour a permanent sale, another loan arrangement has not been dismissed this late in the window, following Sterling’s temporary stint with Arsenal last campaign.
.Sterling is keen on staying in London and currently has three likely destinations, with Palace, Fulham and West Ham showing interest in his services.
The 30-year-old has accepted he no longer features in Enzo Maresca’s plans at Stamford Bridge, where he remains contracted until June 2027, collecting around £325,000 weekly.
As reported by Jacobs, Palace have not advanced any formal approach for Sterling but have ‘carried out enquiries’ on the 30-year-old attacker before the deadline.
Palace are thought to be chasing multiple offensive additions, targeting a fresh No. 10 and also a successor for Eberechi Eze, who nears a £68m switch to Arsenal.
The 27-year-old England star missed Palace’s 1-0 triumph over Fredrikstad in the Conference League qualifiers on Thursday, with Oliver Glasner confirming Eze has played his final game.
Sterling is reportedly awaiting Chelsea’s late-window proposals and prefers remaining in the Premier League and ideally within London.
The 30-year-old winger still hopes to force his way into England’s World Cup squad next summer and believes he can rediscover strong form at his upcoming club.
Sterling has earned 82 international caps for the Three Lions and last featured at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he netted once in three games under Gareth Southgate.
