Utah has made its return to the AP top 25 poll.
After an impressive road win at UCLA over the weekend, the Utes came in at No. 25 in Monday’s release.
In the preseason rankings, Utah had been the second team left out of the poll, sitting just behind BYU.

Now, the Utes have edged in front of their in-state rival and sit right behind fellow Big 12 member Texas Tech.
BYU, fresh off a 69-0 rout of Portland State in its opener, stayed as the first team outside the poll. However, their total dropped to 102 points after earning 156 in the preseason.
This marks Utah’s first appearance since Week 7 of last year and the 182nd overall week in program history.
The Utes are among four Big 12 schools ranked, along with No. 12 Arizona State, No. 16 Iowa State, and No. 24 Texas Tech.
Outside the top 25, BYU was joined by TCU, Kansas State, and Baylor in receiving votes.
This week, Utah heads back home to take on Cal Poly, while BYU hosts Stanford.
