David will officially assume the role on Friday, 5th September, beginning a detailed transition period alongside outgoing CEO Darren Eales, who departs the role for health-related reasons.
David offers over 25 years of high-level executive leadership and commercial knowledge across three nations, achieving success for some of the most prestigious and valuable sports organisations worldwide.
Both franchises rank among the wealthiest in the NBA and NHL respectively, competing at the world-famous Madison Square Garden in New York.
Before this, David acted as Global Head of Partnerships at Real Madrid, serving on the leadership team as the club secured its position as one of the planet’s most valuable football institutions.
Earlier in his career, he dedicated more than 20 years to Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment as Chief Commercial Officer, managing business operations for the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and NBA’s Toronto Raptors.
