While joining the Sunday, August 31, episode of the “Sunday Sports Club” podcast, hosted by Allison Kuch, Kelly, 36, faced a round of rapid-fire questions, one asking whether she preferred Travis Kelce, 35, and Jason Kelce, 37, or Peyton and Cooper Manning.
“I’m picking the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, we honestly go way back,” Kelly, who is married to NFL quarterback Matthew Stafford, responded. “My brother [Chad Hall] played with Jason on the Eagles, so we got to know them some.”
Hall, now 39, was teammates with Jason and served as a wide receiver and return specialist for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2011 through 2012.
After Kelly answered, Kuch, 30, pointed out that the Kelces “seem like a fun family,” which Kelly confirmed before moving on quickly. “They’re awesome,” she said. “I just know them a little better than the Manning brothers.”
These podcast remarks aren’t Kelly’s first public mention of the Kelces. In November 2024, she partly credited her own podcast, “The Morning After,” for its boost in attention to Travis’ high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift. (Kelly co-hosts with journalist Hank Winchester.)
While speaking on Jana Kramer’s “Whine Down” podcast, Kelly explained that her Tuesday “Timeout” episodes saw increased audience interest due to the Travis-Swift romance, now 35.
“The ‘Timeout’ really exists thanks to Taylor Swift because she’s pulled so many women into football,” Kelly explained then.
Just weeks before Kelly’s “Whine Down” appearance, she and Matthew, 37, wore costumes of Swift and Travis for Halloween, specifically copying the couple’s U.S. Open outing that September.
Kelly and Matthew’s four girls – twins Sawyer and Chandler, 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5 – also joined in, dressing up to represent different stages of Swift’s music career.
Kelly got emotional discussing parenting on the Thursday, August 28, episode of “The Morning After,” tearing up as she addressed one daughter’s troubling behavior. “One of my girls has been so difficult. Matthew feels it too. She’s turned into someone I barely know. Right now, I’m trying to stay calm about it,” Kelly revealed.
She continued, saying her daughter’s struggles have “spilled over” into athletics, with the child “ignoring coaches, showing attitude, refusing to listen, and walking away mid-conversation.”
Kelly and Matthew have been married since April 2015 after first starting their relationship in February 2009. The couple originally met as students at the University of Georgia.
