Kelly Stafford has announced she’s pausing her podcast to devote more time to her family.
Married to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford since 2015, Kelly has been alongside him through their move from Detroit to L.A., raising four daughters while navigating the highs and lows of NFL life.
Even though Matthew turned 37 this year, he’s playing at an elite level—so much so that he recently joined a select group that includes Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. As he continues to deliver MVP-caliber performances, Kelly made it clear she wants to be fully present for him and their children.
In a detailed Instagram message, she shared why she’s putting her show on pause. “I’ve been reflecting on everything I’m grateful for—my life, the chaos, the blessings, and all of you,” she wrote.
She thanked her listeners for sticking with her as she reassessed her direction. “My hope was always to make other moms feel understood. I was exhausted by social media acting like everyone’s life was perfect,” she said.
Kelly explained that part of stepping back meant grounding herself and reconnecting with what truly matters. “I feel called to go back to my foundation, and to do that, I need to invest my energy in the people I love most,” she continued.
“I have a husband in the middle of an incredible season, and I want to be locked in alongside him. I want to show up fully for my girls. I want to give my whole heart to the people who have always given theirs to me.”
She emphasized that this isn’t the end of The Morning After, just a pause. “This isn’t goodbye—just a ‘see y’all later.’ Thank you for letting me grow, fall apart, rebuild, and evolve right beside you. I’m excited to see what TMA becomes when the time is right,” she concluded.
The podcast’s last new episode came out on October 2, with archived content filling the feed until the end of October. The account has been quiet for nearly a month.
Complicating matters, Kelly’s former co-host Hank Winchester was dismissed from WDIV-TV after a police investigation into accusations that he made unwanted sexual advances while posing as a massage therapist without the proper license. Reports from the Detroit Metro Times allege he touched a man inappropriately during a home visit.
Kelly briefly addressed the situation on the July 18 episode, saying, “I know TMA has looked a little different lately. Summer’s been hectic. I’ve been traveling a ton. Hank is dealing with some personal issues. Thanks for sticking with us.”
