The NFL quarterback and his model wife welcomed their daughter, Romy, in July 2025. The baby has already shown her Lions pride — in a September 2025 TikTok, Christen shared Romy’s game-day look, which featured a tiny Lions jersey that read “Daddy” on the back.

“She’s got her jersey on, and a little bow,” Christen said. “[She also] has her football socks on, and we’re ready to party. Right? Yes, we are.”

Jared and Christen began dating in 2019 and announced their engagement three years later after the NFL star proposed during a vacation with friends. The two married in Ojai, California, on June 22, 2024.

Though both maintain demanding careers — Christen has modeled for Sports Illustrated since 2022 — they remain supportive of one another. In addition to attending Jared’s games, Christen also appeared alongside him in season two of Netflix’s Quarterback, which premiered on July 8.

Christen was born on May 28, 1993, to parents Michael and Daria Harper, and grew up in Valencia, California. Her older brother, Shane Harper, is a professional hockey player who’s competed in the American Hockey League and overseas in Sweden and Russia, according to Eurosport.

Christen attended California State University, Northridge.

She’s a model and actress

Christen works as both a model and actress. In her Sports Illustrated profile, she shared that she began modeling to help pay for college expenses.

Her acting journey began in childhood, appearing in the 2004 short film Seven Eleven. She later starred in the 2019 films Auggie and The Obituary of Tunde Johnson. Alongside Jared, she appeared in Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Detroit Lions and was featured throughout season two of Netflix’s Quarterback.

She was a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Swim Search finalist

In 2021, Christen reached the top 15 in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search and was selected as one of six women to appear in the magazine.

Christen and Jared started dating in 2019 after meeting on a dating app.

In a Sports Illustrated video filmed during Miami Swim Week, Christen revealed that she met Jared on Raya, an exclusive, membership-based app often used by celebrities.

“I really wasn’t looking for anything serious,” she said. “I had just ended a long-term relationship and wanted to stay single for a while. Then I met him — and the rest is history.”

Jared proposed to Christen in June 2022 during a trip with friends in Los Cabos, Mexico. He got down on one knee on the beach, later calling himself “the luckiest guy in the world” in his Instagram announcement.

Christen shared the engagement news as well, writing that she couldn’t “wait for forever” with her fiancé. The next week, she posted more photos from the trip, captioning them, “Still on cloud nine after the best weekend of my life.”

Christen has long supported her quarterback husband. In December 2021, when the Lions snapped a 15-game losing streak while she was shooting with Sports Illustrated, the outlet shared her emotional reaction to the win.

“It’s over? No way!” she said in the video. “You guys, that’s their first win! This is wild. Oh my god, I’m gonna cry.”

When Jared was traded to the Lions, Christen was ready to move to Detroit despite her career being centered in Los Angeles.

“We’ve always lived in California, so there was excitement for a new start, but my whole career was in L.A.,” she told the New York Post. Though uncertain at first, she later said she was glad she made the move.

Christen has faced social media backlash, even receiving death threats from Lions fans after team losses.

In an August 2022 Courtside Club podcast episode, she said she’s learned to “tune it out” and “appreciate the moment because it doesn’t last forever.”

In February 2025, Christen and Jared told PEOPLE they were expecting their first baby.
