Several NFL teams are being linked as potential offseason trade destinations for Raiders star edge rusher Maxx Crosby, including the Cowboys, Patriots, 49ers, and Lions, all of whom could use pass-rush help. Dallas stands out because it never truly replaced Micah Parsons’ production after trading him and needs multiple high-impact edge defenders, not just one. San Francisco struggled badly to generate pressure in 2025, finishing last in sacks, and also faces uncertainty with Joey Bosa coming off a torn ACL. New England has Harold Landry under contract, but with K’Lavon Chaisson headed toward free agency and coming off an outlier season, relying on internal options is risky. Detroit, meanwhile, lacks a clear long-term answer opposite Aidan Hutchinson, especially with Al-Quadin Muhammad coming off a career year and nearing free agency. CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan identified all four teams as logical suitors for Crosby, whose future with Las Vegas appears increasingly uncertain.

The Raiders are likely entering a rebuild with a rookie quarterback expected at No. 1 overall in the 2026 draft, a timeline that doesn’t align well with Crosby’s prime years. Tension reportedly developed when the team shut Crosby down late in the season despite his desire to play, further fueling speculation, even though that decision came under a previous coaching staff. With four years remaining on his $106.5 million deal, Crosby may eventually push for a move if the losing continues.

Among the rumored teams, Dallas appears the most realistic option due to Jerry Jones’ aggressive mindset and the Cowboys’ surplus of first-round picks, while New England ranks close behind given its urgency to capitalize on a Super Bowl window under Mike Vrabel.

San Francisco seems less likely due to its focus on retooling, and Detroit appears the longest shot, as GM Brad Holmes has historically avoided blockbuster edge moves. However, if trade offers are comparable, the Raiders are expected to honor Crosby’s preferences, and in that scenario, New England could emerge as his top choice based on its championship outlook.
