“It’s a group that really complements each other,” Johnson said. “We’ve got a good mix of long speed, quickness, guys who thrive inside the numbers, and others who can make plays outside. But we’re always looking to add competition.”
Dan Campbell Praises Lions’ Effort
After Detroit defeated Chicago earlier in the year, Campbell applauded his players for finishing strong despite being eliminated from playoff contention.
Proud of them. That’s the way to finish,” Campbell said in a postgame press conference.
Even after the Bears mounted a comeback attempt, Campbell said his players remained focused.
“Our guys fought from the beginning. Even when they came back, our guys didn’t bat an eye and we were able to finish it out.”
