Holly Campbell Shares Heartwarming Video of Dan Campbell to Celebrate His 50th Birthday
Monday turned into a memorable occasion in the Campbell household as Dan Campbell marked his 50th birthday.
To give fans a glimpse behind the scenes, his wife Holly Campbell shared a compilation filled with entertaining photos and short videos celebrating the milestone birthday of the Detroit Lions head coach.
While marking the occasion, I searched for an interesting or lesser-known story about Campbell and discovered a fun detail that probably won’t surprise many who know his personality.
Back in 2015, when Campbell briefly served as interim head coach of the Miami Dolphins, James Walker wrote about the coach’s deep appreciation for the legendary metal band Metallica.
When asked at the time about his favorite songs from the band, Campbell quickly listed several classics. Among the tracks he mentioned were Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, One, The Unforgiven, and Nothing Else Matters. Campbell even joked that he could keep naming songs for quite a while.
His love for the band goes back years. While attending Texas Tech University, Campbell’s enthusiasm for Metallica was so well known that he picked up the nickname “Dantallica.” At one point, he even waited in line overnight just to secure concert tickets for the band during a show in Texas.
So if you’re looking for the perfect way to honor Campbell turning 50, turning up some Metallica might be the most fitting tribute for the Lions’ fiery head coach.
And now, on to the rest of the notes.
