Bears hold meeting with Illinois Sports Facilities Authority to advance lakefront plan.

The Bears made progress in their efforts to build a new stadium on the lakefront by meeting with the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority.

The team presented renderings of their stadium plan, which has shifted from Arlington Park to the lakefront.

The financial commitment from the Bears is $2 billion, but additional funding will be required. Meetings with the White Sox for related development are also happening.

The Bears plan to release complete renderings and a financial plan to the public soon.
