WNBA’S MYSTICS, ROBINHOOD AGREE TO JERSEY PATCH DEAL

The Washington Mystics have partnered with stock trading platform Robinhood (Nasdaq: HOOD), marking the company’s first investment in women’s sports.

The team declined to disclose financial terms and length of the agreement.

Robinhood’s logo will be displayed below the front jersey numbers beginning with Washington’s home game against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky at Capital One Arena on Thursday night. Robinhood will also have signage displayed courtside and around the Mystics’ regular home venue, Entertainment & Sports Arena, located in Washington, D.C.

The Mystics also have a jersey patch sponsorship with car retailer CarMax that was extended in June 2023 through the 2024 season. That patch is displayed on the left shoulder adjacent to the Nike swoosh.

Klutch Sports’ Global Partnerships division facilitated the agreement between the Mystics and Robinhood. Rich Paul, Klutch Sports’ founder and CEO and LeBron James’ agent, joined Robinhood as an advisor in March.

The stock trading platform, which reported around $1.9 billion in 2023 revenue, is in the midst of a three-year deal with the NBA’s Washington Wizards as the team’s official jersey patch, brokerage and Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) broadcast sponsor, which started with the 2023-24 season.

MSE owns the Wizards, Mystics and the NHL’s Washington Capitals.

  • The Mystics are 0-9 this season.
