During Jerry Jones’ testimony at the NFL Sunday Ticket trial, the Bengals catch wayward players.

  1. After what Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recently said about them, the Cincinnati Bengals may be feeling a little more motivated by for their Week 14 “Monday Night Football” battle against the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on December 9.

In the NFL’s ongoing legal battle over the league’s “Sunday Ticket” package, Jones was called in to testify. While testifying, Jones addressed concerns about the exorbitant cost of the NFL’s streaming package.

He said that if it weren’t for “Sunday Ticket,” teams would probably have to sell the rights to their away games individually before taking a seemingly unplanned jab at the Bengals.

According to Jones, “I am convinced I would make a lot more money than the Bengals,” the Associated Press reported. “I vehemently oppose every team entering into TV deals. It has errors.

It’s unclear why Jones focused on Cincinnati in particular, but Pro Football Talk recently revealed that he and Bengals owner Mike Brown have a history of animosity.

According to PFT, Brown and Jones differ on income sharing. Additionally, according to an NFL legend, Brown refused to sell the naming rights to Paul Brown Stadium, which is now known as Paycor Stadium, and the two had a public argument about it during an ownership meeting.

Although Jones’ remarks may have been motivated by his personal contempt for Brown, he might later come to regret them in December.

With more postseason victories in the last three seasons than the Cowboys have in the previous 28, the Bengals boast one of the strongest rosters in the NFL and, of the two teams, have made it to the Super Bowl the more recently.
