“Tailgating, drinking, and guns don’t mix,” White commented, highlighting the dangers of combining these elements.

The altercation quickly spread, and moments later, the combatants regrouped a short distance from the original fight.

Another person, who was also shot, was taken to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries on September 16, according to updates .

Police officers, already present at the stadium and nearby areas, responded swiftly to the situation.

White noted that they were able to hear the gunshots as they happened.

Investigators are now working to determine whether the victims and the suspect knew each other.

Although the identities of those involved have not been released, the suspect, a man in his 30s, is known to have a valid gun license. The Lions lost the game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 20-16.

The cause of the argument remains unclear, but White pointed out that such violent outbursts are not uncommon at large events, particularly when individuals armed with weapons fail to manage conflicts appropriately.
