Chris Christie criticizes Dan Campbell for being classless.

Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie has criticized Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell for his team’s performance in a recent game against the Dallas Cowboys. During an appearance on “Mad Dog Unleashed,” Christie, a self-proclaimed Cowboys fan, expressed his discontent with how the Lions handled their 47-9 victory over Dallas, labeling Campbell as classless for running up the score.

When host Christopher Russo asked Christie about the use of trick plays during the blowout, Christie suggested that such behavior is typical of Campbell.

He stated, “That’s Dan Campbell. He’s got no class. Never has.”

Christie implied that Campbell’s attitude stems from lingering frustration over a controversial call made in a previous game between the two teams, suggesting that Campbell is directing his anger inappropriately.

Christie explained that the Lions’ trick plays, which included using offensive linemen as eligible receivers, were a nod to their controversial loss in Dallas in 2023.

However, he noted that these plays were executed early in the game, well before it became a lopsided score.

While Christie’s views may resonate with some, many fans might not share his perspective.

The Cowboys often become the subject of jokes, and the fallout from such a heavy defeat has led to a mixture of schadenfreude and amusement among football fans.

Overall, Christie’s comments highlight his frustration not only with the Lions’ tactics but also with the broader implications of sportsmanship in high-stakes games.
