The Dallas Cowboys have had a rough start to the 2024 season, winning just three of their first 10 games.
Their performance has been disappointing, leaving them near the bottom of the NFC East standings, ahead of only the 2-8 New York Giants.
In an ironic twist, the Cowboys will face the Giants on Thanksgiving at AT&T Stadium, a matchup between two struggling teams.
Despite the team’s poor record, linebacker Micah Parsons remains optimistic.
He believes the Cowboys are a “damn good” team, even if their results don’t reflect it.
Speaking to On3.com, Parsons expressed frustration that the team’s true potential isn’t apparent in the scoreline. “I’m going to put this out there,” Parsons stated. “We’re a damn good football team.
I know the scores ain’t showing it, and obviously, people feel like we have so many missing pieces. I just hate that the score don’t really show how good we actually are.”
The Cowboys will have a chance to start turning things around when they face the Washington Commanders next Sunday in a crucial game.
Parsons’ confident stance was quickly supported by his teammate, cornerback Trevon Diggs, who also believes in the team’s talent.
“I agree,” Diggs said. “I think the work that we put in the facility is hard to overcome.
It’s tough to win games with just defense or just offense
—it’s got to be all three. Everyone needs to be clicking. But I really do think we have a good team.”
Despite their confidence, the Cowboys’ 3-7 record leaves them in a tough position, and many fans are not buying into the optimism.
It remains to be seen whether they can turn things around and fulfill their teammates’ belief in their potential.
