Bald and Bold: Keenan Allen’s Hairline Roasts Itself During Bears-Lions Matchup

The Chicago Bears wide receiver finds himself in the spotlight for both his performance and his hairline after a viral Thanksgiving mishap.

Thanksgiving Day football often brings its fair share of action, but this year, Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen found himself in the spotlight for reasons he probably hadn’t planned. During the Bears’ tough 23-20 loss to the Detroit Lions, Allen was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct late in the game after a heated exchange with the referees. His frustration stemmed from a helmet-popping incident involving Lions linebacker Ben Niemann, who had yanked off Allen’s helmet in a play that was seemingly missed by the officials.

However, the real surprise came when the CBS broadcast replayed the incident, showcasing Allen’s reaction from an unflattering camera angle. For viewers at home, the replay did not just highlight Allen’s frustration but also revealed a slightly unfortunate angle of his hairline, which became an instant talking point. His bald spot, previously a well-kept secret, was now visible to millions of football fans across the nation.

The Internet’s New Favorite Target

It didn’t take long for social media to explode with memes, jokes, and jabs at Allen’s expense. The “bald jokes” quickly started rolling in, with fans having a field day at the wide receiver’s expense. While Allen might have been the subject of some lighthearted teasing, there’s no denying his undeniable skills on the field.

Despite the online roast, Allen had a standout performance, catching five passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns. His performance in the game was certainly far more impressive than the viral hairline mishap, but unfortunately for Allen, it was the latter that took center stage for much of the afternoon.

A Twist in the Narrative

Luckily for Allen, the football world’s attention soon shifted from his hairline to the unfortunate clock management of the Bears’ now-former head coach, Matt Eberflus. The Bears’ poor decisions late in the game left fans scratching their heads, and even Allen couldn’t resist piling on with some social media comments of his own, giving Eberflus some of the heat that was initially directed at him.

While Allen’s hairline may have had its viral moment, the real focus of the day was his impressive play on the field. The Bears may have lost the game, but Keenan Allen showed once again why he’s a six-time Pro Bowler, leaving fans with plenty to talk about, beyond just his looks.
