West Ham United have reached a personal agreement with Ajax striker Brian Brobbey on a £100,000-a-week contract, as reported by talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.
The Hammers are said to be closer to securing the Dutch forward, though an agreement with Ajax is still pending as they continue their search for a new striker.
Graham Potter is eager to bolster his attack ahead of the transfer deadline on February 3, following long-term injuries to Niclas Fullkrug, Jarrod Bowen, and Michail Antonio.

Crook suggests that West Ham’s hunt for a striker could stretch until the final moments of the January transfer window, with several players still under consideration to join the club before the deadline.
While Ferguson remains their primary target, Brobbey is viewed as an alternative to the Irish forward, who previously played under Potter at Brighton during the 2021/22 season.
Brobbey, who rejoined Ajax from RB Leipzig in 2022, has had a mixed season, netting just three goals in 29 appearances across all competitions.
The 22-year-old, described as a ‘powerhouse’ by Antonio Mango, enjoyed a standout 2023/24 season with 22 goals and 12 assists in 43 matches, but has struggled to replicate that form.
West Ham have yet to make any signings this January, focusing their efforts on bringing in a new striker to address their ongoing injury issues in attack.
Currently 14th in the Premier League, West Ham will face Chelsea on Monday.
