SAD NEWS: Emery Jones has been suspended by the LSU Tigers for suspicion of breaking…

The injury report for LSU football’s game against Army listed Emery Jones and Mekhi Wingo as uncertain.

Emery Jones, the starting offensive lineman, and Mekhi Wingo, the starting defensive tackle, are both questionable to play versus Army, according to Brian Kelly’s injury report this week.

Jones missed the game in the first quarter of LSU’s 48-18 victory over Auburn due to a sprained ankle. Following Jones’ injury, Zalance Heard filled in at right tackle, and he is anticipated to start against Army in Jones’ place.

Kelly stated that Wingo has been battling a lower body issue all season long and that this week is a chance for him to “get right” before LSU’s bye week. Jacobian Guillory, Jordan Jefferson, and Paris Shand are all possible candidates to start in Wingo’s stead.

Although he could not provide a specific timeline, Kelly stated that both injuries are treatable and he anticipates that both players will return to full health.

The only other player listed on the injury report was Chris Hilton Jr. He was listed probable after missing the last two game with an ankle injury he suffered at the end of the Ole Miss game.
